Who is this for?

Multi-unit residential building developers, owners, operators and financial partners interested in improving building operations and resident experience, while reducing costs and emissions. Preference will be given to applicants who have a planned retrofit or upgrade project within the next five years and/or have recently completed a building performance audit.

What are the benefits of joining?

You will get:

  • Access to up to $45K in funding for building performance audits and/or cleantech deployment projects.
  • Assessments of technologies that can maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Guidance in the deployment of technology upgrades.

Each business selected for this cohort will complete three phases of work: assessment, planning and implementation. In the last phase, each business will complete an initial deployment project of a decarbonization technology with a climate venture in one of their buildings.

How much does it cost?

Nothing! There is no cost to participate in the cohort. Initial deployment projects will be financed by the participating businesses, in concert with funding and delivery partners. MaRS will facilitate connections to organizations that have the capacity to fund innovative solutions, should your company see the value in adopting the technology.
